Truck's Road views on a sunny winters day

Tuck's Road running down from Red Hill to Shoreham has some of the most spectacular view on the Mornington Peninsula.  Sunday turned out to be a stunningly sunny winters day with beautifully clear air.

So for me it was imposs
ible to sit inside doin
g the work I'd planned to do.  I hope you get as much pleasure from the following shots has I got from discovering them.

Penisula Reflection on a tough pre-winter day

Well we might be moving through Autumn ( Fall ) and towards winter but the weather is still pretty stunning for sailing.  These poor guys have been putting in a tough day on the Bay.  So now its time for a drink at the club.

Christmas Morning. Looks like it could be Hot !

Christmas Morning, Red Hill

Christmas morning and it looks like a hot one on the way.  My biggest delight on Christmas morning is the quietness. No constant traffic hum coming from the roads until around 9.00 am

Grab it while you can.  After 9.00 its back as people getting on the roads to visit family and friends.  In my case I will have clocked up around 400 Klms or almost 300 mile before the day is out.  Traveling to my sister's farm and picking up my 94 year old dad along the way.

Hopefully lunch will go well if my sister and nephew are not called out to any fires with their local volunteer fire brigade.  Such is the way of Christmas in this part of the world.  To all my friends in the States, England and Europe .... Cheers and I hope your wild weather doesn't make your travels impossible.  Stay Safe !

When Gloomy is GOOD

Well I have to come clean and say it's not always beautifully sunny weather here, even during Summer.

But there are not to many people complaining.  We have just had our best rainfall all year.  And when you consider our water reserves are down to 30% you might understand why Gloomy can be very good indeed.

So you will just have to wait to see how this ( Mt Martha beach ) can really sparkle.  I'll make a point of showing it again in another post in the very near future.

Meantime the holiday makers are starting to gather in this, one of Melbourne's favorite playgrounds.

Cherries are in ! Be quick

If your quick you can get to Red Hill and pick yourself some of the fantastic cherries on offer. They even taste better than they look.
If you can't make it this year,  put a trip down here in your new years diary, for a couple of weeks before Christmas next year.

Another Tough Day

It was another tough day in this part of the world as you can see.  Southern summer is on the way.
